Our History

Corcoran Trucking opened its doors in 1965 when Ed & Kaye Corcoran, with just one truck and trailer, began an actual 'mom and pop' business. Their young family got involved early in servicing, dispatching, bookkeeping and driving. Over the years it has grown considerably, and has become a very respected trucking firm in the north western United States! From the humble beginnings of the 60's, it grew to over 60+ employees, 50+ truck/trailers, 35+ reefers, and 10+ flats & cattle trucks. The original mainstay of the business was hauling produce from California to Canada and grain back. Due to the 'quality of service' this was maintained for over 20 years without benefit of a contract.

Today the hauling is much more diversified still including produce and frozen food, grain, dry-goods, carpeting, and livestock. In 1991 their son John was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer. Ed Corcoran, Jr. setup and manages a 401K plan that is designed to assure a good retirement for their valued employees. Various other family members still sit on the Board of Directors.
